General Information
 | El Camacho is a traditional Andalucian finca set at the head of the Estercal valley amongst the hills of the Sierra Bermeja. The land consists of three flat terraces, all easily worked and full of over a hundred varieties of fruit and nut trees, most of which are mature trees producing excellent crops. The land area is approximately 0.65 hectares or 1.6 acres, bounded by the fences, the access road and the river Estercal. The house was built about 25 years ago and is a simple construction on one floor level having two bedrooms, a living room/kitchen, a bathroom and a huge covered terrace with a further pergola covered in vines and flowering climbers. Most of the time is spent on the terrace and the view is fantastic - looking down the sweep of the valley to the peaks of Los Reales. |
Planning permission exists to double the size of the house by putting a top floor on it - a relatively simple building job. There is an excellent, professionally fitted solar electric system with conversion to 220 volts as well. At the far end of the grounds from the house is another, smaller building which would easily convert into summer holiday accomodation. Water is provided by two acequias - one from the river Estercal and the other from the river above. Access is excellent - a car can be driven to the door of the house. Jubrique village is about 6 miles or 10 kilometers away, of which distance only just over 2 miles is not on a tarmac road. Estepona is about 17 miles or 28 kilometers away, and the tarmac road is due to be extended from that direction very soon, and then there will only be about 2 miles which is not tarmac. |  |
